Hey guys, Dr. Massey here. I just wanted to share some thoughts going into a tough season for so many of us.
A bubbling stream is one of my happy places. My first yoga teacher taught me a meditation that has truly changed my life with the setting beside a babbling brook or stream or river. The moving water is the perfect setting to imagine you are throwing cumbersome rocks into the water and watching them dissappear as you drink nourishment from the water to fill your cup.
The rocks symbolize the areas in your life that you need to let go that are no longer serving you. The movement of your arms toward the water and into yourself should bring cooling energy to the parts of your body that need support.
Water elements in nature or imagined can be incredible tools for balancing energy, cooling anxiety and grounding yourself.
