Meet Dr. Evan Kahn — the original force behind North State Sport & Spine.

With over 15 years in practice, Evan has built a reputation as a trusted sports chiropractor dedicated to helping patients move, perform, and feel their best. His passion for high-quality, results-driven care continues to shape everything we do.

When he’s not in the clinic, you'll likely find him on the golf course or keeping up with his energetic preschooler alongside his wife.

We asked Evan a few questions:

What did you envision when you started your practice in Holly Springs?
“I wanted to create a practice that takes time with patients—really listening to their story and building a solution tailored specifically to them. By combining chiropractic care, rehab, soft tissue treatment, taping, and more, I felt we could offer something unique to this active community.”

How do you provide the best quality care?
“I choose treatment options like Dry Needling, Active Release Technique, or Shockwave therapy based on what will optimize each patient’s recovery. It’s rewarding to use experience and clinical reasoning to find what truly works.”

What do you see for the future of North State Sport & Spine?
“We’ll continue expanding our services here in Holly Springs while staying on the cutting edge of conservative care—and down the road, we're excited about opening additional locations across the region.”

We're proud to have his leadership, experience, and vision guiding our team.

Only the OGs will remember this look from 2017!

As we enter our 10th year as North State Sport & Spine, I’m humbled by our beginnings and really excited for our future. What started off as a dream, a wife who was patient and willing, a desk I bought from Office Max (on a nearly maxed out business credit card), a table from Amazon (bought using the same credit card), and a few patients who were willing to trust me with their care -

Has become an office I love to come to everyday, that offers state of the art services, and is filled with people that believe in the work we’re able to do for the many thousands of patients who have walked into our clinic.

I am so thankful for the people who have got us here; our amazing Drs LoPiccolo and Bessette, our incredible office manager Tania, our new and wonderful front desk assistant Mary, and our awesome billing specialist Tricia (who was my very first hire and helper).

And most importantly I cannot thank our patients enough. You trust us with your care. You trust us to get it right and lead you on your way to recovery. You trust us in telling you when we can help and when we need to go somewhere else. And I promise you that will never change.

Here’s to the next 10 years

- Evan

Next up in our reintroductions: Colby 👇

Hailing from Lexington, NC, Colby brings a powerful blend of clinical expertise and real-world performance experience.

With advanced training in techniques like Active Release Technique (ART), Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), and cupping, he takes a personalized, hands-on approach to care—helping patients recover smarter, move better, and get back to doing what they love.

When he’s not in the clinic, you’ll likely find him in the gym, out on the golf course, or spending time with family.

We asked Colby a few questions to better understand what drives his work:

What inspired you to pursue chiropractic care?
“My interest in chiropractic started with personal experience. At 18, after my freshman year of college baseball, I suffered herniated discs that left me bedridden and forced me to leave school. Chiropractic care became the turning point in my recovery—it helped me regain mobility and get back to lifting. That experience stuck with me and ultimately led me to pursue this career.”

How do you empower patients in their rehab journey?
“I focus on building individualized corrective rehab plans because no two patients are the same. I also make sure patients understand exactly what they’re doing—walking them through exercises, coaching form, and giving feedback—so they feel confident and involved every step of the way.”

How do you work with coaches or athletic teams?
“Communication is key. I work closely with coaches and team staff to make sure we’re aligned on recovery goals. Whether that means adjusting practice or playing time, it’s all about helping the athlete recover efficiently and return at full strength.”

Up first we are talking with Amanda — our runner extraordinaire and movement specialist! 🏃‍♀️

With over 15 years of experience since graduating from New York Chiropractic College, Amanda brings both expertise and genuine passion to every patient she works with. From chiropractic adjustments to advanced techniques like dry needling, Active Release Therapy, Shockwave therapy, and gait assessments, she’s dedicated to keeping you moving at your best.

When she’s not in the clinic, you'll likely find her out on the trails or cheering on her kids at their latest sports event—because for Amanda, movement isn’t just her profession, it’s her lifestyle.

We asked Amanda a few fun questions to help you know her better:

What drew you to chiropractic care?
Growing up in Upstate New York, I played every sport I could. After seeing a chiropractor regularly through middle and high school—for both injury prevention and those inevitable aches and pains— I fell in love with how it helped me feel and perform. That experience inspired my path into chiropractic care.

What’s your approach to injury prevention?
Consistency is key. I emphasize the importance of the “little things”—hydration, nutrition, sleep, rehab, and smart training. Finding the right balance between them is what supports long-term health and performance.

How do you stay current in your field?
I complete continuing education each year, intentionally exploring new techniques and therapies to expand my toolbox. My goal: offer personalized care with the most effective, up-to-date approaches available.

That's what keeps Amanda motivated, moving and ready to help you to do the same! 💪✨

As we approach our 10th year at North State Sport & Spine, we're feeling incredibly grateful.

What started on May 1, 2017, as Evan’s vision to build something different in Holly Springs has grown into so much more.

From day one, the goal was simple:
• Take time with every patient
• Listen to their story
• Create personalized care plans and support them through every step of recovery

Nine years later, that mission has expanded:
• A fully renovated space to better serve our community
• An incredible team including two additional practitioners, an office manager, and a patient advocate
• Access to cutting-edge treatment options

Today, we're proud to be an award-winning sports chiropractic clinic serving Holly Springs and surrounding communities. We combine traditional chiropractic care with movement assessments, rehab, and advanced treatments like Active Release Technique, Dry Needling, and Shockwave Therapy.

With over 40 years of combined experience, our team is committed to staying at the forefront of care—helping everyone from local runners to high school and college athletes, and even Olympians.

Stay tuned as we introduce our team over the next few weeks and share more about what we do!
