Benefit Therapy Services provides speech and occupational therapy in the Holly Springs, Cary, Apex, and Fuquay-Varina communities. We work with both adults and children to foster communicative growth. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of those we serve by providing individualized therapy plans in a variety of settings to address the specific needs of our clients.

🌟 Celebrating Bri! 🌟

This month marks Bri’s 1-year anniversary with Benefit Therapy Services and while we’re so excited to celebrate all she’s accomplished this past year, it’s a bittersweet milestone as we also say goodbye. 💛

Bri has been such a bright light on our speech team, bringing creativity, compassion, and dedication to every session. Her impact on our families and kiddos has been truly remarkable, and she will be deeply missed by all of us here at BTS.💙🧡

While we’re sad to see her go, we’re so proud of her as she takes the next step in her career closer to home. Please join us in wishing Bri all the best in her next adventure! 💐💬

October is AAC Awareness Month! 🌟

In honor of this month, we’re sharing a few quick tips to support communication through AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication):

💬 Start with regulation: Make sure your child is calm and emotionally ready. A regulated child is more open and able to participate in communication.

🤝 The pressure is on us, not them: As communication partners, it’s our job to model language and gently invite your child to join in.

💡 Acknowledge all communication: When your child uses their device, even if you’re not sure it was intentional, respond, affirm, and attach meaning to their words. Every interaction counts!

✨ Remember, communication isn’t another “task” to check off, it should be fun, engaging, and a natural part of everyday life!

Our Social Skills Groups have been going so well! The kids are learning, laughing, and building amazing connections each week 💬💛

Huge shoutout to Natalie Murr from the NC State Psychoeducational Clinic for providing Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) for our parents during group sessions and to our incredible group lead, Anna, for making each session such a fun and supportive experience! 🌈👏
