Scans in this machine are performed while sitting or standing up in a weight-bearing position. This modern way of positioning increases diagnostic accuracy and demonstrates 30% more abnormalities than a traditional MRI. The upright open MRI is specifically designed for patients with all types of musculoskeletal issues or for those individuals who suffer from claustrophobia. MRI remains a safe and totally painless way for your healthcare provider to view your body without X-rays by using a magnet and radio waves.
Besides this innovative way of performing MRI’s, HDC continues to provide a comprehensive list of other diagnostic procedures which includes: traditional MRIs (including breast), CT (Computed Tomography), Ultrasounds, PET (Positron Emission Tomography), bone density exams, screening and diagnostic mammograms, breast biopsies, x-rays and EKGs.
