If someone loses 6lbs in a month, all 6 of that could be body fat, but they could gain lean muscle preventing the scale from saying more. So even if the scale says higher, the percentage of body fat went down.
Body composition is all about fat loss combined with gaining muscle. To be tight and toned means to build muscle which will add weight to the scale even if you’re burning a lot of fat.
As long as your fiber, protein and calories are in check with your workouts, I would never calculate success based fully on the scale. It will make you crazy.
