June arrives with a spectacular astronomical show in the sky: the Full Moon known as the Strawberry Moon, which will shine her brightest Wednesday June 11 at 3:44AM EST/7:44 UTC .. but the best time to see it will be at dusk on Tuesday.
Named “Strawberry Moon” by some Native American tribes to coincide with the time of the strawberry harvest in June
This Full Moon heralds the energy of the Solstice; Litha, the Summer Solstice in the northern hemisphere and the Winter Solstice in the southern half of the globe, which happens approximately every 20yrs.
It is not just any moon, moving into a cosmic cycle known as Lunar Standstill, the moon will appear to be closer to the Earth
During this Strawberry full moon we may feel a heightened sense of responsibility and productivity toward goals, ambitions, and overall life path. We might feel the urge to listen to our intuition and inner wisdom, to the voice of Self, fostering a deeper sense of self-awareness and spiritual awakening.
As you watch the moon appear, look to its upper right to spot Antares, a bright star 550 light-years away, in the constellation Scorpius
