It’s is in the opening of my eyes, as I take my first glimpse of the morning, being a new day, that I choose to look upon the heavens, and in gratitude, thank the Lord, for waking me up. Gratitude? Yes gratitude ! Do I really think I have any power to do wake up knowing tomorrow is never promised ? and do I think I have any power, any resources, any talents, anything apart from it coming from heaven? Well that depends. To not wake up in a disposition of gratitude means I have power and I serve me… I I I ….. ohhhh Lord forgive me if this be so…. Forgive me if yesterday I was so caught up in my selfish agenda thinking I was serving your agenda, just masquerading it for my benefit,my earthly comforts, that I was unable to see its all about being of service to you…. Lord , as I rise today, I choose to honor You my Lord, in my words , my thoughts , my emotions in gratitude …. Make today count!

Life is never promised to be easy or free from challenges. To be a Christian doesn’t mean that trials and tribulations will not arise to rock the boat of our comfort . No,the comfort must all ways be rooted in the certainty that all things work together for good to those that love the Lord . Be of good cheer if your going thru challenges and persecution in your life, employment, relationships , etc. this just confirms that as the Lord said they hated Him we also will not be excluded… however, He said be of good cheer I have overcome the world ! Be of good courage stand fast for if God is for you who can be against you! Make today count!

Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound judgement…

Sounds like a fool to me ! Sounds like a defiant person that raises his fist against the Lord saying once again, after the Lord rescuing him from the gates of hell , I got it from here. Sounds like someone that has been deceived by the world, the devil and the flesh to think they can do this life all by themselves…. Sounds like someone that refuses to take directions and guidance…..ohhhhhhh wait a minute are they talking about me…?thank you Lord for placing those around me that love me enough to call me out on my lack of engaging in my recovery process . Help me to humbly acknowledge my shortcomings and lift me up in due time for your Glory, contingent on my daily spiritual maintenance, in taking the time early in the morning to seek your Face…. And may I be reminded as I see those that are lacking that there but by your grace go I…..
