December is National Safe Toys & Gifts Month, and with holiday shopping in full swing, it’s a good moment to think about choosing toys that keep little ones safe. When selecting gifts, look for sturdy materials, avoid small parts that could be a choking hazard for younger children, and opt for toys that encourage imagination and learning.

A few thoughtful choices can help make holiday playtime both fun and safe.

National Influenza Vaccination Week is a reminder that it’s not too late to protect yourself and your family from the flu. Flu vaccination helps reduce the risk of severe illness and keeps communities healthier throughout the winter.

If you haven’t gotten your flu shot yet, now is a great time to schedule one. Healthy families start with prevention.

Today, on World AIDS Day, we honor the courage of those living with HIV/AIDS and remember those we have lost.

Tonight, PRN is collaborating with The Center in Asbury Park for a World AIDS Day observance at Trinity Church in Asbury Park, beginning at 7 PM. The program will include a reading of names to remember those who have passed, along with a keynote address by Michael Zito-Govert. We hope to see you there.

November is Prematurity Awareness Month. Our Essex County Doula Program provides multicultural doulas with one-on-one, culturally competent support through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. With a doula by their side, mothers are 29% less likely to give birth prematurely.
