Dr. Surekha Collur is a board-certified ophthalmologist with advanced fellowship training in glaucoma. She specializes in both traditional no-stitch and femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery. She utilizes state-of-the-art systems such as Catalyst and LenSx. Dr. Collur offers a range of premium intraocular lens implants, including PanOptix, Odyssey, and Envista Aspire Toric. She selects the most suitable option in collaboration with each patient.

Her expertise covers all facets of glaucoma management, from medical therapy to minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS). This includes iStent, Hydrus, and Xen implantation, as well as iTrack and Omni. She also performs advanced procedures such as Diode CPC laser, trabeculectomy, and tube shunt. In addition, she performs upper lid blepharoplasty for droopy eyelids and minor procedures in the office. With in-office laser equipment, Dr. Collur can offer prompt and efficient glaucoma laser treatments. These include selective laser trabeculoplasty and laser iridotomy.

Dr. Collur completed her ophthalmology training at the esteemed All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi. She achieved fellowship status with the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. She performed ophthalmic surgery at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. After moving to the United States, she undertook an internship at Presbyterian Medical Center (affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania). She completed her residency at SUNY Brooklyn and pursued a glaucoma fellowship at New England Medical Center.

Her experience providing medical and surgical eye care across three continents gives Dr. Collur a distinctive perspective and confidence in adopting new technologies, complemented by a holistic approach to patient care.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, has a passion for dancing and singing, and loves all outdoor activities.
