The first day of spring is here! Across our Greencroft campuses throughout the Midwest, signs of the season are starting to emerge. While the full pops of color and flowers aren’t quite here yet, they’re coming soon—and they’ll be a beautiful reminder that warmer, brighter days are just around the corner.

Before long, our campuses will be filled with sunshine, lively activities, and residents enjoying everything this joyful season brings. There’s something special about springtime—it renews our spirits, brightens our surroundings, and brings our communities to life.

March is Team Member Appreciation Month, and today we’re excited to shine the spotlight on Kalie Perkins, Life Enrichment Coordinator at Great Lakes! 💛

Kalie’s connection to Great Lakes is deeply personal—her grandmother stayed in the 4000 hall years ago, and seeing the care she received and the friendships she formed inspired Kalie to become involved with our campus. Over the years, that involvement grew into a permanent and cherished role in our community.

Kalie wears many hats—she started in the salon, helping residents look their best, and now as Life Enrichment Coordinator, she ensures every day is filled with fun, meaningful, and fulfilling activities. She loves planning events, creating lasting memories, and treating residents like family.

Her passion, dedication, and joy shine through in everything she does, making Great Lakes an even brighter, more vibrant place for everyone. ✨

Running now through April 30, the Greencroft Communities Foundation is inviting residents across all campuses to live vibrantly and DREAM BIG!

Is there a long-held dream tucked away in your heart? Maybe you’ve always wanted to dye your hair purple, revisit a special place, or finally organize a lifetime of cherished photos. Whatever your dream may be — we want to hear it!

Last year, we helped residents soar in a hot air balloon and ride a locomotive for the very first time. This year, we’re ready to honor even more incredible dreams.

❤️ Not too long ago, love filled the air at Great Lakes during our Valentine’s Day Party!

Residents had an absolute blast enjoying special food, festive décor beautifully set up in the chapel, and welcoming spaces designed for conversation, laughter, and fun. There were plenty of smiles — and of course, lots of great photo opportunities to capture the memories! 📸💕

It was a wonderful celebration of friendship, joy, and community. We love creating moments like these for our residents to share together.
