It's such a joy to ask the residents if they want to make dessert. Their faces light up with huge smiles, and it's clear how much they enjoy the cooking/baking. Today we were able to lighten the cooks load by making this evening dessert. We chose to make graham cracker peanut butter chocolate bars. They were a huge hit! Who doesn’t like peanut-butter and chocolate 😋

Thanks to the wonderful donations of flowers from Trader Joe’s the residents here at Divine Living Centers were able to use their imagination to create flower bouquets for their rooms. This gesture really put a smile on their faces as they enjoyed going through all of the flowers and arranging them just how they like them. A couple of the residents even volunteered to make flower arrangements for residents that were unable to make them for themselves. What a fun activity.

Now that fall is here, the residents at Divine Loving Center have been super creative, using outdoor finds. Leaves and acorns have really spiced up our fall crafts! And, can't forget National Dessert Day—The residents and the activities coordinator, whipped up some homemade banana pudding. Helping with that dessert brought back so many memories for them, chatting about their favorite meals and the people they shared them with. We shared smiles, laughs, and tons of stories. The residents totally loved it.

This month marked a significant milestone at DLC-Holt

Our first Resident Council meeting at Divine Living Centers since my arrival as Activities Coordinator. I was encouraged by the active participation of our residents, who shared both constructive criticism and innovative suggestions. It was heartening to hear their acknowledgment of the positive impact we're making. It's been equally heartening to witness the residents' growing connection with our staff and their recognition of the positive changes we've brought to the facility since Divine Living Centers assumed management. This reinforces our belief that we're heading in the right direction, and the adjustments we've made are already enhancing their quality of life. We remain steadfast in our commitment to providing a secure, healthy, and fulfilling environment for our residents.

🌟 Happy National Assisted Living Week🌟

We’re thrilled to celebrate our amazing residents, staff, and community with a fun-filled Spirit Week put on by our Activities Director here at Divine! 🎉 Each day, we’re bringing the joy, laughter, and togetherness that make our home so special!

Today was Country Western Day! 🤠 Yee-Haw!🤠 It was a rootin’-tootin’ success!

The facility transformed into a lively hoedown, with residents and staff decked out in cowboy hats, boots, and plaid galore. Everyone brought their A-game to dress the part! Our residents especially enjoyed our staffs participation! 🤩

We all had such an amazing day - truly blessed to know and love our residents and to be a part of such an amazing team!✨

Happy 100th birthday to an extraordinary lady! 🎉 Her century of grace, wisdom and love touches everyone she meets. Today we celebrated HER - her strength, stories and beautiful legacy.

Barb enjoys playing loud music and our other residents tend to gather in her room and at her door for these jam sessions - so we brought in a whole DJ to help celebrate her birthday! 🎶

Thinking about her party.. the beautiful decorations, music and treats. What a sweet reminder as to why we choose to do what we do here at Divine Living. A true reminder of the beauty in aging. What a profound privilege it is to care for and honor our people! 🥹

Thank you to all that came out to celebrate! Barb said she couldn’t believe it! 🌸 And special shout out to our staff who worked so hard to make it happen, to those who came on their day off, and who made all of our residents feel loved and included!
