Today we got to make cinnamon sweet bread, courtesy of the Farmingville Chamber of Commerce grant Island won to make our community better! The bread was delicious and the unit smelt yummy! 😋

Yesterday we had the pleasure of celebrating some of our father’s within Island. We got to celebrate with some hero’s made by our Director of Food & Nutritional services! Along with Mac salad, potato salad, Cole slaw, chips and a lovely dessert of either cheesecake brownie or chocolate cake! Happy Father’s Day to all!

National Senior Health and Fitness Day is celebrated on the last Wednesday of May, this year on May 28. It is a day dedicated to the betterment of the health of seniors. The common goal is to help senior Americans stay fit and healthy. Today, we have Johnathan Arroyo from Arroyo Boxing Club coming in to do Chair Boxing with our seniors! What a way to start the morning. Later on we have entertainment with Denice & Rocco, to get our seniors moving and grooving!
