ICare Health Network is pleased to announce the selection of Meredith Parda-Burr as Vice President of Human Resources.

Meredith comes to iCare with more than 20 years of progressive human resources leadership experience across healthcare and hospitality. Most recently, she served as Senior Director, HR Business Partners at Benchmark Senior Living, where she led the organization’s HR Business Partner team. Prior to that role, she spent seven years as a Regional Human Resources Business Partner with Benchmark, supporting multiple communities across the senior living portfolio.

In addition to her tenure in senior living, Meredith served as Human Resources Director for Shaner Operating Corporation, a hospitality management company based in State College, PA. Her career reflects a strong emphasis on process improvement, quality initiatives, and fostering employee engagement at all levels.

“Meredith brings tremendous expertise in human resources and a proven record of building engaged, high-performing teams,” said Phil Sterling, Chief Executive Officer of iCare Health Network. “Her leadership will be instrumental in supporting our staff and enhancing the employee experience across the Network.”

We’re thrilled to share that last week, Chris Wright—iCare’s former CEO and now Chairman of the Board—was honored with the CAHCF Lifetime Achievement Award at the Connecticut Association of Health Care Facilities’ 96th Annual Membership Meeting held at Saybrook Point Resort on July 17, 2025.

With a long-term care career spanning nearly four decades, Chris’s impact has been nothing short of extraordinary. As owner-operator of iCare Health Network—12 skilled nursing facilities across CT, MA, and VT with 1,562 licensed beds—his commitment to quality care shines through our network’s multiple AHCA Silver and Bronze Quality Awards.

Chris has also been a tireless advocate for our industry:

● Two terms on the AHCA Board of Governors (including two as Secretary/Treasurer), now serving his second term as Vice Chair

● Three terms as CAHCF President, two as Immediate Past President, four as Vice Chairman—and continuing on the CAHCF Board of Directors

● Active participant in the AHCA Future Leaders Program and staunch supporter of the AHCA PAC—regularly lending his voice at the Connecticut State Capitol and on Capitol Hill
