The lingering effects of the flu such as dehydration, loss of strength and conditioning, and weight loss, can be very significant in our elderly population. Our staff has been specially trained according to CDC guidelines for the treatment of and recovery from the flu (influenza)! We offer antiviral treatments, antibiotics as needed, and IV hydration. Happy Housekeeping Week
Poem

People call on you when the cleaning needs done,
you run to the fun because you are the one!
Sweeping, mopping and dusting,
you are sure to clean something disgusting!
Exposure to germs most definitely confirms,
you really should negotiate better terms!
Dirty toilets, sinks, and floors, followed by,
why didn’t you clean the doors?
Somedays you would like to sit behind a desk,
just to have someone else clean up your mess!
But, they probably wouldn’t do it right,
Oh, wouldn’t it be a terrible site.
Your work gets criticized and analyzed,
somedays you even get chastised and never even recognized.
I am here to just say, we appreciate you in every way.
You are a ray of light, that shines so bright.
So, thank you housekeeping staff from the bottom of my heart,
now go lock your cart!

Your skin isn’t the only part of you that needs protection from the sun! Your eyes, especially in bright direct sunlight, can also become sunburned if you aren’t careful—and sunburn to your eyes can leave lasting scars and cause long-term damage.

Remember to always wear a hat, and/or sunglasses when you go outside, even during the colder months. Talk to your doctor if you wear contact lenses about brands that have built-in UV protection, and remind kids and teens to be extra vigilant, as they are especially susceptible to long-term damage!
