This week at Victorian Village, we welcomed Rev. Phil to lead a special Worship and Communion service as we prepared our hearts for Thanksgiving. Together, we gave thanks to our Heavenly Father for the many blessings in our lives. The service was a meaningful highlight of our week, and we were grateful for the message, the fellowship, and the gift of Holy Communion.

Friendships at Victorian Village brighten our days in the best way. This week, we gathered for Friendsgiving, sharing a delicious meal prepared by our talented dietary team and joining our voices in familiar songs at a cozy sing-along. It was one of those moments when you can feel the joy in the room.

As we head into Thanksgiving, we’re grateful for the fellowship, the encouragement, and the simple gift of being together. The conversations, the laughter, the music, the food. It all reminds us how deeply community matters.

During this season, may we continue to bless one another with kindness and gratitude, thanking our Gracious Heavenly Father for the love we get to share here at Victorian Village.

Yesterday was World Pancreatic Cancer Day—a crucial opportunity to spread awareness about pancreatic cancer. 💜 According to the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, pancreatic cancer has the highest mortality rate of all major cancers and is the 3rd leading cause of cancer-related death in the U.S., following lung and colon cancer.

Let’s remember those affected by pancreatic cancer, honor the brave survivors, and keep them in our hearts and prayers.

Blessings were everywhere at Victorian Village as we celebrated the volunteers who give so much of themselves to our community. During this season of Thanksgiving, we’re reminded of how many good things we have here, and our volunteers are right at the top of that list.

Thank you to every person who pours time, energy, and love into making life fuller for our residents. Your kindness shows up in big and small ways, and we feel it every single day.

Our Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon was a joyful chance to gather, laugh, and remember why serving others means so much. We’re grateful for the hands and hearts that walk through our doors to bless this community.

Victorian Village residents enjoyed a delightful presentation of George Burns and Gracie Allen, brought to life by Paddy Lynn and her husband, John.

Their quick banter and classic comedic timing filled the room with hearty laughter and lighthearted memories, reminding everyone why the iconic duo remains so beloved. Gracie’s quirky observations and George’s dry responses still deliver the perfect humorous twist. By the end of the show, it was easy to agree with the old saying: laughter truly is the best medicine.
