What is Astigmatism?
Astigmatism is a common vision condition caused by an irregularly shaped cornea or lens. Instead of focusing light evenly, the irregular shape bends it in different directions—causing blurry or distorted vision both up close and far away.

What is Myopia?
Myopia (nearsightedness) means your kiddo can see up close, but things look blurry at a distant.

Common signs may include:
▪️Squinting to see at a distant
▪️Holding books/tablets close
▪️Complaining that distant objects look blurry
▪️Frequent eye rubbing or headaches

Going on vacation this summer?🌞If you wear contacts, here are a few things you should not do:
❌Don’t swim in the ocean with contacts. Saltwater can trap bacteria under the lenses, leading to irritation or infection. If you do wear them in, be sure to clean or replace your contacts immediately afterward.
❌Don’t wear contacts in the pool. Pool water carries harmful microorganisms that can cause serious eye infections.
❌Don’t nap too long in them. Anything over 1–2 hours reduces oxygen to your eyes and increases your risk of discomfort or infection.
