Hello friends
What a busy summer and gorgeous fall… I am STILL working 2 places this fall as I am trying hard to buy a home, finally, so help me stay busy! The kids are raised, the birds have flown the coop. Fingers crossed the interest rates come down soon?!
Anyways, plz find me at Homer Massage therapy Tuesday, Thursday and Friday where we take most major insurances with a small copay for the lucky ones still with insurance ( typically you can get up to 25 sessions a year but they MUST must be used by the years end or you loose them) OR,,,MY own practice on Main since 2012 for private pay/cashola clients… either place works for me as long as I stay busy and meet my goals! Let’s do some body and energy work!

The Magic of Summer Sessions

Today's sessions were truly magical. As summer unfolds, I have the privilege of meeting incredible travelers from all over the world. They arrive, ready to surrender, allowing me to do what I love most: work with their energy, ease their stress, and help them release physical, mental, and emotional pain. It's a profound trust they place in a complete stranger found on the internet, and I deeply honor and respect every client who chooses me during their visit.
My work encompasses massage, bodywork, energy healing, emotional release, and trauma integration, all blended with a generous dose of pampering. Before each session, I engage in my own preparation rituals, ensuring I'm fully present and able to meet the unique needs of every individual whose path crosses mine.
My goal is always a holistic experience, bringing all these elements into one session. While I could simply give a massage without intention, I always ask: why would I? Clients might walk in expecting just a massage, but I gently "sneak in the extras." I get to hold a sacred space, co-creating healing with each session. Remarkable transformations unfold within the walls of my small studio.
Witnessing the shift from the moment a client lies on the table to when they leave is incredibly rewarding. I feel the nervous system reset, the breath deepen, and the tension visibly melt from their face. I literally feel the transformation unfolding beneath my hands. After 28 years and thousands of clients, I feel profoundly "in my zone" – there's a deep confidence in my abilities, yet I remain incredibly humbled by every single person who entrusts me with their well-being.

So I’ve been a massage therapist since 1997! I started my private practice in 2012. Before that I had worked in Dutch Harbor Alaska at a chiropractic clinic for 3 years. I’ve worked in spas, I used to travel and set up, I rented rooms at other places. I had many trips across the bay to work remotely. I have a trauma informed background in Domestic violence and sexual assault advocacy work and worked many years in DV shelters and answering crisis calls for a call service. I am
Experienced in many modalities but consider myself an intuitive spiritual soul practitioner. I believe we hold issues in our tissues and they manifest until he get to the root causes. I also work as a medical massage therapist 2 days a week, more focous on injuries and repetitive motion creating limitations. Lately I’ve been seeing clients experiencing loss and greif. I believe massage therapy can be quiet and personal or some heal thru talking throughout the sessions. I enjoy helping people process where they are in their lives with the intent to eliminate both physical and emotional pain. I have laid hands on thousands of humans over the years, countless really. The best part of my work is feeling like I’ve helped facilitate healing in many. I have trusted and confidential sessions with all clients and I value greatly their stories and pain. All sessions are client led, I don’t ask I just listen. Talk or don’t. Whatever is best for the client.

That all being said, I am just sharing what I do and who I am a little as I’ve had so many views to this page this summer. My sign and name of my business is a whole other post. I’ll do that next time 🙂 I am in Homer one more winter so I hope to see as many clients as possible until my career takes me elsewhere. Come see me!
