We are so grateful to the Greater Birmingham League of Women Voters for hosting a Voter Registration Event at University Park! Residents got registered to vote, updated their addresses and found their new polling place. Thank you to these wonderful volunteers!

Residents enjoyed a trip to the Bessemer Public Library to hear local celebrity storyteller, Dolores Hydock! Dolores presented the life stories of Melvil Dewey, the father of the Dewey Decimal Classification System, and Andrew Carnegie, sometimes called the Patron Saint of Public Libraries. Thank you, Dolores, for a wonderful event!

We had a wonderful time at one of Birmingham's newest restaurants, Kaitlynn's Café! Kaitlynn was so gracious to open an hour early and give us a private dining experience. The fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, and peach cobbler were delicious! Thank you, Kaitlynn!

Peggy had worked with her at a local school for more than 20 years, and they were reunited once again!
