It is Hand Therapy Week!

Meet Sydney Thigpen, our Occupational Therapist. She’s from Trussville, AL and has been working at the Hoover TherapySouth clinic since August 2024. She graduated with her Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2021 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has worked at TherapySouth for 3 years treating as a hand therapist focusing on treatment of the upper extremity. She works on upper extremity injuries conservatively and sees post-op patients from a variety of injuries including but not limited to: trigger finger, wrist fractures/sprains, finger fractures/sprains, tendon and ligament injuries, carpal tunnel, cubital tunnel, hand pain/stiffness, and splint fabrications.

Sydney is a Certified Neuro Specialist and specializes in the treatment of patients who have acquired traumatic brain injuries and strokes.

It’s been about a month since we said “see you later” to our superstar techs. Some have moved on to PT, OT, and PTA school and some have moved on to missions. We are so incredibly proud of these superstars and believe they will be successful in their next chapters 💙✨
