My newsletter for the new moon today 12/19 and this coming Sundayʻs Winter Solstice. The light returns with a new moon two days before the darkest night of the year. Sunday also would have been my Genoʻs 93rd birthday.Please celebrate him me with as the light returns! Light a candle and know there is both light and darkness. What is the symbolic meaning of the unusual comet Atlas 3I? This interstellar visitor is the emblem of the outsider, the migrant star-seed, the one whose orbit is not closed but open, flung from another sun.

It speaks of lives and souls whose paths do not loop back neatly, who appear once, change everything they touch, and then are gone.

It tells of relationships, encounters, ideas that are not meant to be “kept,” only witnessed, honored, and let go.

Its path, not bound to the Sun, is an image of unbinding: the soul that refuses to be captured by inherited gravities.

It whispers to those who feel trapped in old ephemerides: “You are allowed a trajectory no one has charted before.”

Yet it also warns that freedom is not aimless: even a hyperbolic orbit has a precise curve; wildness is not the same as chaos.

Here are the dates of the Lunar and Solar eclipses for Sept. with some thoughts about navigating this transformational time!

9/7 ~ Full moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces with Sun in Virgo at 15 degrees - a potent midpoint!

9/21 ~ New Moon Solar Eclipse in Virgo at final 29 degree - the other bookend to the first new moon in Virgo on 8/22 last month.

The full moon lunar eclipse in Pisces on 9/7 with the peak in Hawaii on the night of 9/6 will set the stage for the final solar eclipse later in the month. It will be difficult to see the blood moon from Hawaii as new moon is the morning of 9/7 at 8:08am. The eclipse itself will begin at 5:28am just as the moon is setting and last for 1 hour and 22 mins. More about viewing it elsewhere here. More about this in my newsletter link below
