Stepping Aboard History on the USS Missouri ⚓🇺🇸
On October 26, we had the incredible opportunity to explore the legendary USS Missouri, known as the “Mighty Mo” and the site of Japan’s WWII surrender. With the help of 1:1 sighted guide volunteers, participants experienced the ship’s massive 16-inch guns, learned about life on board, and discovered its history in battles like Iwo Jima and Operation Desert Storm. After the tour, we gathered for a catered meal, reflecting on the stories and significance of this floating piece of history.
As we look back on moments like this, we’re excited to invite you to celebrate one year of Travel Visions Aloha for the Blind at Foster Botanical Garden on February 15!

Behind her, a young girl in a blue shirt looks curiously at her surroundings, while another woman in a black sun hat and rain jacket stands further back.
