Happy New Year from the Hawaii State Department of Health 🎉!

Start 2026 off strong by moving your body a little more, adding an extra serving of fruits or veggies to your meals, making time for quality sleep (7-9 hours each night), and managing stress with self-care habits.

In Hawaiʻi, fireworks are fun—but they also bring real risks. If you’re celebrating: Use only legal fireworks, supervise keiki, and leave aerials to the professionals.

Start the new year safely! Let’s welcome 2026 with joy, not a hospital visit.

Hawaii State Department of Health offices will be closed on Thursday, January 1, in observance of New Year's Day.

Improper disposal can lead to fires and toxic chemical releases—protect your home and community by taking them to authorized drop-off facilities.
