Let me start off by saying that I’m not into hustle culture. Next week is just the busiest week of the year for me. This is not my normal and I wouldn’t want this to be my normal.
Mainly because I know, that for me, it is not sustainable, enjoyable, or desirable to have every week packed to the gills. It would not be in alignment with how my mind, body, and soul want to experience this life.
At one time my weeks did look like this…and I was miserable. Burning out with a smile on my face because we are taught to grind, hustle, and climb the ladder.
Anyways that life wasn’t for me. It took a lot of work to let go of that version of myself.
When you start living in alignment, you stop doing things you “should” do and you start doing what YOU want to do.
I will be sleeping my 8+hrs thank you 💁🏾♀️
But let’s face it, we live in a world where money is the currency. And sometimes things get busy. I found that I’m okay with small bursts of busy here and there.
So…here are some things that I do to help keep me grounded when life is a little rocky.
- Release stagnant energy with mindful movement
- Weave things that bring you joy into your environment
- Make sure to tend to your basic needs (you come first)
- Intentionally disconnect & go outside
- Nourishment! Don't forget to feed & water yourself
- But also balance…. so make sure to treat yourself
- Give yourself permission to do whatever the hell you want. I like to wear things that are cozy and make my inner child really happy.
- Buy yourself flowers
- Spend time getting creative or doing things you love
