We are excited to announce the appointment of Ms. Katie Kaahanui as the new Executive Coordinator of Safe & Sound Waikiki.

Katie Kaahanui is not new to serving our communities. Her vast experience, coupled with an unwavering commitment to public service, makes her a great fit for this role. Katie's leadership promises to steer the Safe & Sound Waikiki Program into a new era of strategic initiatives that prioritize the well-being of our resident, visitors, and the businesses that call Waikiki home.

We believe that Katie's appointment is not just a new chapter for the Safe & Sound Program, but also for Waikiki and its greater community. With her coordinating efforts of numerous organizations, we are optimistic about the results we can deliver in year two of Safe & Sound.

Aloha Spirit in Action 🌺 With hearts heavy for our ohana in Maui, we stand together in the face of adversity. From now until Aug 17th, we invite our Waikiki community and visitors to drop off clothing, non-perishable foods, and bottled water at our Aloha Ambassadors office (Bank of Hawaii building, Waikiki - 2155 Kalakaua Ave #409). Every bit helps, and together, we can send a wave of aloha and support to those impacted. 🌊❤️

The Aloha Ambassadors extend hospitality from a stationary position at the police substation at Kuhio Beach Park, a kiosk at the Waikiki Beach Walk complex on Lewers Street, as well as by walking throughout the District. While on their daily tours of Waikiki, the Aloha Ambassadors are also alert to safety and security issues and work closely with Honolulu Police Department. If you see them out and about, be sure to ask them a question or throw up a 🤙!
