Whether you have a mental illness or know a friend, family member, or coworker who does, mental health conditions affect everybody. The 2024 Mental Illness Awareness Week’s theme is “My Mental Health at Work” to promote a healthy workplace culture and to create a space where employees feel safe and supported. While mental health should be discussed all year, this week is especially important as it is also World Mental Health Day! It’s crucial for a safe and welcoming community to have staff that are also healthy and prioritizing their mental health. Healthcare is incredibly difficult and complex, and when working with a vulnerable population, there are many challenges that can affect your mental health.
