Our patients celebrated at a heartwarming Recreation Therapy party filled with delicious treats, laughter, and hands-on fun.

To make the day even sweeter, our incredible staff surprised each patient with special Valentine’s goodies to unwrap. It was truly an unforgettable Valentine's Day!

To celebrate Zadoc’s big day, staff and patients joined Recreation Therapy for a paws-itively fun party—complete with photos with the birthday boy (and best friend Toby), games, and plenty of smiles. The celebration was made even more special with a surprise video call from his sister, Ginny, all the way from Shriners Children's Spokane!

We were honored to host our “SPORTS with Shriners Children’s Hawaiʻi” open house, welcoming more than 30 healthcare professionals, athletic trainers, and community partners to our hospital. Guests enjoyed guided tours of our facilities, learned more about our sports medicine services, and connected with our dedicated medical team.

Making the evening even more special, our patient ambassador Anna joined us to share her inspiring journey—from her ACL injury to her incredible accomplishments. It was a special day at the Sony Open in Hawaii as our patient ambassadors, Solomon and Justus, had the opportunity to meet and talk with PGA Tour pro Peter Malnati before his tee-off. ⛳️

As the title sponsor of the Polynesian Bowl Shriners Children's was thrilled to welcome 100 of the nation’s top high school senior football players to our hospital for a special meet-and-greet with our keiki and staff! 🏈

We were honored to have Polynesian Bowl Football Hall of Fame co-founders and former NFL stars Maʻa Tanuvasa and Jesse Sapolu share heartfelt remarks, along with our very own patient ambassador, Malakai, who will also be playing in the game, as he shared his inspiring story.

During the visit, players took photos, signed autographs, and joined our patients in hands-on activities, including experiencing our Motion Analysis Program.

A huge mahalo to the Polynesian Bowl for helping create such a meaningful and memorable day for our keiki and staff!

It was truly a magical evening at our hospital! Our patients were treated to professional hair and makeup by our friends at JV salon and dressed in their very best for a night to remember.

As they made their way to our beautifully decorated Recreation Therapy department, they enjoyed delicious food, karaoke, and plenty of photo opportunities to capture memories that will last a lifetime.

Yesterday marked the inaugural Shriners Children’s Polynesian Bowl Golf Classic, and what an unforgettable day it was! ⛳️

Solomon and Justus, two of our patient ambassadors, spent the entire day playing alongside sponsor teams at a designated hole. They had many conversations with golfers who wanted to learn more about their Shriners Children's stories and their future plans. To cap off an incredible day, both Solomon and Justus attended the tournament banquet where they were thrilled to not only win special Polynesian Bowl helmets, but to have them personally signed by former NFL star and Polynesian Bowl Hall of Fame co-founder, Jesse Sapolu!

The hospital welcomes patients up to age 18 with or without health insurance. Located in the heart of Honolulu on Punahou Street, our hospital is kid-friendly and designed to put families at ease with the aloha spirit.
