The only requirements to participate are (1) diagnosis of PD, (2) resident of Hawaii, (3) have a speech/voice impairment, and (4) have the ability to participate in virtual/telehealth therapy sessions.

Thank you to board member Kevin Lockette who created and implemented the Harmonica Parkinson’s Project. It began with the Harmonica for Parkinson’s Speech Study that was recently completed with the abstract being accepted for the 7th World Parkinson Congress in 2026!

It has now been turned into a book where any group of people with Parkinson’s and their care partners can start their very own harmonica group. No experience necessary.
