Huge CONGRATS to our two graduates 🎓!!! A good amount of you know Jez & Ryan, but for those of you who don’t, let me introduce them:

•JEZ first became part of our office fam in 2021 as our dental assistant. She then got accepted into the dental hygiene school at UH and she’s assisted for us seasonally during her school breaks. Three years later, here she is—a licensed hygienist!

•RYAN came to us in 2022 as a 2nd year pre-dental student looking to shadow. Lo and behold, we needed a temporary assistant, so Ryan stepped in! He just graduated from Oregon State and will be starting dental school at University of Pennsylvania in a couple of weeks!

We are beyond proud of both of our young people 🎉! It’s amazing to watch them grow into their careers and we couldn’t be happier for them. Thank you for being part of our team and our family and good luck with this new chapter 🫶🏼!

My nephew’s preschool class invited me to talk to them about keeping teeth healthy and cavity-free 🦷🪥. Thank you Ms. Jaci and the Rainbow Class for having me!
Remember parents, healthy habits start with you guys and what you teach your kids 😊.

Here are some good tips:
1. Brush 2x/day AND floss 1x/day. Don’t let days-old food sit between teeth 🤢.

2. Limit sweets and junk food and at least have your child swish with water to prevent the sugars from clinging to the teeth.

3. Fluoride products keep enamel strong. If you prefer no fluoride, hydroxyapatite is an alternative ingredient that also remineralizes enamel. If you can use a product with both, even better!

4. Eat healthy foods like milk, cheese, veggies, and fruits. Calcium is really good for teeth development.

This is a late Holiday🎄 post from our office (we had to postpone our holiday meal to January), but we wanted to make sure to still express our gratitude to everyone for a wonderful and successful 2024! We got to celebrate the holiday with an amazing dinner at Han No Daidokoro.

We have a lot to be thankful for, including a new team member 𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐀! She joined us back in September 2024 as our dental assistant, and she aspires to be a dental hygienist like Kendra. And yes, Kendra has not retired yet and is still around, so schedule your cleanings with her while you still can 😆!

Thank you to everyone again for all of your support! We are so grateful and are looking forward to all the things 2025 has in store for us. Wishing you all a blessed 2025 as well!

Celebrated two of our young people last week! We had some good food and drink and lots of laughs over a few rounds of Codenames ! Gotta love the team outings.

•𝐑𝐲𝐚𝐧, our pre-dental student, was accepted into dental school! He is currently deciding on where to attend.

•We also celebrated our last assistant 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐠'𝐬 birthday! She is currently in her first year of dental hygiene school.

Thank you to Mrs. and the 1st graders from Classroom B-6 at Kapunahala Elementary for having me participate in your Community Helpers series! We talked about how it’s a dentist’s job to save teeth from things like germs🦠, cavities🕳️, pain 😣 and injuries🤕. Hoping to inspire these keiki to become the next generation of Hawaii dentists 🦷🪥😄!
