"Waimanalo Beach withDigger and the Butterfly"
One day at Waimānalo Beach Park, a young boy sat under a shady palm tree, watching the waves. His wheelchair couldn’t go in the soft sand, but he didn’t mind too much because he had Digger, his happy little puppy he adopted from the Oahu SPCA, to keep him company.
Digger ran in big circles on the beach, jumping, barking, biting the salty Pacific ocean water, chasing the wind and wagging his tail. Suddenly a bright butterfly named Sundrop floated down to join in the fun with the small puppy.
Digger barked gently and pointed his nose toward the boy under the tree, as if to say "come meet my best friend!" Sundrop fluttered up and down, thinking it over.
With a loop d loop and a flutter of wings, Sundrop danced around the boy, making him laugh and smile.
Then she landed softly on his nose before flying off into the sky, leaving the boy and Digger full of joy.
