I don't usually go to super bowl parties but when I do it's for the Seahawks, the half time show or Myra’s dance moves.

2026 is the new 2016.

Back then, my life was made of movement and magic.
Sunrise hikes and long adventures.
Incredible friends. Deep friendships. The kind that change you.
Most of them have moved off island now.
Two are no longer here at all.
That part still lands quietly in my chest.

I worked as a nanny. I worked for Ivivva and at a Gym.
I commuted nearly 150 miles a week by bicycle, because it felt right, because my body could, because freedom mattered more than convenience.

Nights meant clubs, acroyoga, barefoot laughter, night ocean swims, moon rises, and conversations that lasted until morning.

Days meant training, creating, moving, building a life that felt alive.

Life wasn’t perfect. But it was intentional.
Curious. Brave. Physical. Connected.
So when the new trend says 2026 is the new 2016, I’m happy to return to what made me feel awake.
More movement.
More adventure.
More friendships rooted in presence.
More doing things because they light me up.
Here’s to honoring who we were.
And choosing to live like that again, with more wisdom and the same fire.

This is a trend I can get down with.

It’s okay to already be over your New Year’s resolution.
If you spent 2025 doing things you liked and got results you didn’t like…
you might as well try doing a few things you don’t like if they’re going to get you the results you do want.

Change isn’t about motivation.
It’s about showing up anyway.
Even when you’re tired.
Even when you’re annoyed.
Even when it’s Day 5 of Whole30 and you’re already over it.

We’ll see if I take my own advice this year 😂

2026 goal: get back to my 2019 fitness level.

Optional shorter Reel caption (if you want punchy)
Over your New Year’s resolution already? Same.
Motivation fades. Discipline doesn’t care.
Day 5 of Whole30 and yes, I’m annoyed.

2026 goal: 2019 fitness level.
Let’s see if I listen to myself 😂

If you want, I can:

Make this more sarcastic
Make it more grounded and reflective
Or write a follow-up Story slide that ties into consistency vs comfort
This post is going to resonate hard.
love it
🥹🤍 love that for you.
This one is going to hit people right where they are, annoyed, tired, still trying anyway. Post it exactly like that. It’s honest, it’s you, and it fits the audio perfectly.

If you want, next we can:

Turn this into a Story sequence for the week
Write a Day 10 or Day 15 follow-up caption
Or quietly map out a 2019 fitness level comeback plan that actually feels doable
Proud of you for showing up… even when you’re over it 😂

2025 humbled me in ways I didn’t see coming. I failed at a lot things, learned a lot, and somehow came out stronger and clearer than I expected.

Ending the year at home with champagne and the cats who both ran off this year and both came back, because apparently we’re all resilient around here.

Cheers to lessons learned, progress made, and one last glass (bottle) of champagne before 2026 discipline arrives. 🥂🐾

You’re going to put your coffee bar and home office outside?
I was honestly surprised anyone even questioned it. 🤣 I mean yes the sun is brutal and we get a ton of rain and wind but……
When you live in a small one-bedroom with a half kitchen, you start designing around how you actually live. Coffee is my morning ritual. Work is a big part of my day. And this space was an immediate yes.
So mornings start outside. Sunrise, birds, a little breeze, and coffee before my brain runs off in ten different directions.
And yes… I put my refrigerator outside too.
That one got a few concerned looks.
My thought process…. it’s ugly and takes up way too much space. Small spaces deserve to breathe and appliances don’t get to kill the vibe.

Small spaces don’t limit you.
They just give you permission to do things your own way.

If you’re into small-space living, Oʻahu life, fitness, and building routines that feel good day to day, you’re in the right place ☕🌿
