Our dental office had been in business for 38 years before Dr. Schmidt took over for the retiring dentist, Dr. Randy Price. We've always been an incredibly friendly and small-town dental office. We know our patients well, and the Hood River Valley knows us for bringing the best experience possible while trying to keep you comfortable during your dental treatment. Dr. Schmidt is committed to continuing the outstanding care you've come to expect.

AIR POLISHING - need we say more? We are in the process of transitioning into a full air polishing hygiene office - less stress on your hands and body, easier prophies, less instrumentation, no more patients yelling at you about the "cold" water, etc etc. and no more of that prophy paste! We are beyond excited to be moving into this new and better realm of hygiene instead of the last 30 yrs of the exact same thing.

Located right in the heart of Hood River, we are expanding our office into a unique hygiene/only building as well as a restorative only building - two separate offices offering separate experiences but working together.

All of the normal hygiene skills are required, and of course, above all, we want someone to treat patients like family. Come to work, be fun, be helpful, be yourself, and then leave the stresses at the door as you enjoy your evenings and weekends.

Itero scanners, milling machines, handheld x-ray units - we have all of the greatest stuff that makes life easier for you.

We do a ton of Invisalign, full mouth rehabilitations, implants, root canal procedures, etc etc - all of it here at Schmidt Dental Center.

We are HIRING! Dental Hygienists!

Hygienists! Are you not loving on your current job? Looking for a change for the better? Is your boss a little weird? Well get out of there and get over here! We think that it really is time for you to make that change!

Located right in the heart of Hood River, we have a very fun office that’s looking for just the perfect fit. And we are biased of course, but we have the most awesome and nicest patients around.

All of the normal hygiene skills are required, and of course, above all, we want someone to treat patients like family. Come to work, be fun, be helpful, be yourself, and then leave the stresses at the door as you enjoy your evenings and weekends.

We need 1-4 days per week, whatever you can give us! MY PREFERENCE would be full time though (4 days a week).

The office has an alternating schedule and is open Monday-Thursday, then Tuesday-Friday.
So you have a 4 day weekend and then a 2 day weekend that alternates.

(Mondays, 11-7pm, 8-5pm tuesday-thursdays, Fridays 7-1pm)

Because this is an additional position we are adding, it’s very flexible. But the office is open 4 days a week and we have a 4 day weekend every other week. The office is set up for a fun lifestyle and we put that first.

Experience would be preferred but not absolutely essential as we have fantastic mentors there to guide your journey to get you the skills you need and we need as an office.

We are serious about gum disease and it’s total body health effects. Giving local anesthesia is a must at our office, but we can get you the training if you need it. SRP's, Itero health scans, sealants, numbing for doctor procedures - all of these are necessary skills you will need to do well here! BUT, don’t be scared, we can teach you.

We do Invisalign, full mouth rehabilitations, implants, root canal procedures, SRP flap surgeries, etc etc - all of done right here at Schmidt Dental Center. You won’t have a boring life if you decide to make the move. The dental education you’ll get just by working here is immense!
