When you are walking through life
With stones in your feet
Hopelessness in your legs,

When the poison of apathy
Has consumed your heart,

- How can a heart be so full of bitter sadness
And also feel completely empty.
I know. I know.
Stay with me, friend -

When dread and despair
Are constant companions,
When they seem the only truths left,

You will not be able to see nor understand that
On the periphery of the containment field in which
You are immersed
Stands a good, true friend

With a sutra hand.
The teaching is a pure gate,
The way to liberate yourself.

You will liberate yourself.

And I have news for you:
You will liberate yourself
Alive.

Find this good friend.
Ask around.
Do not stop inching forward.
