A 3-part series documenting a six-week sailing and foiling journey into the far edges of Indonesia.
Indonesia is home to roughly 17,000 islands and some of the best waves in the world. While many are found around Bali and the western regions of the country, the east remains largely untouched. Vast coastlines, limited infrastructure, and long distances make many of the waves in this stretch nearly impossible to reach.
Led by Captain Jonathan Pooley the crew uses the final weeks of the southeast monsoon to explore the region in search of new waves and new places. From broken engines to empty point breaks, .carter and navigate the highs and lows of a journey that becomes the trip of a lifetime.
This is a story about exploration — what it demands, what it gives back, and why some places are still worth the effort.
