March is Brain Injury Awareness Month. Every year, millions of individuals and families are impacted by brain injuries—from concussions and traumatic brain injuries to strokes and neurological conditions.

Recovery looks different for everyone. Physical therapy plays a critical role in rebuilding strength, improving balance, restoring mobility, and helping patients regain independence and confidence in everyday life.

Healing takes time. Progress takes support. And no one should navigate recovery alone.

If you or a loved one are recovering from a brain injury, we’re
here to help you move forward. 💚

Did you know that we offer Craniosacral Therapy? Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive form of bodywork that supports structural balance, enhances the body’s natural ability to heal, and promotes overall well-being for people of all ages.

🌿 Infants & Babies
Safe for nearly all babies and can begin right after birth. Craniosacral Therapy may help support:
• Feeding challenges
• Colic, digestion & breathing issues
• Sleep difficulties
• Torticollis & plagiocephaly
• Effects of forceps, vacuum extraction, or cesarean birth

🌿 Pregnancy
Focused on helping create more space in the pelvis to support comfort and balance as your baby grows.

🌿 Postpartum
Supports structural alignment with special attention to the pelvis. Especially beneficial for moms healing after a difficult or traumatic birth.

If you’re looking for gentle support for yourself or your baby, Craniosacral Therapy may be a supportive option.

We work with people throughout the Columbia River Gorge to treat work-related injuries, reduce pain, and help prevent them from coming back so you can get back to work feeling better.

✨ Staff Highlight of the Week ✨
Meet Gwenyth O’Brien, PT, DPT — Pelvic Health Specialist

Gwen takes a truly patient-centered approach to care, focusing on each person’s unique goals when creating a recovery plan. Before becoming a physical therapist, she spent over 12 years teaching in outdoor education and performing arts—experiences that shaped her passion for education, wellness, and empowering people through movement.

Gwen has completed post-graduate certification in pelvic health physical therapy through Herman & Wallace, a nationally respected leader in pelvic floor education. She treats a wide range of pelvic health conditions including urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, and postpartum recovery.

When she’s not in the clinic, Gwen embraces everything the Columbia River Gorge has to offer—trail running with her dogs Charlie and PJ, rafting local rivers, or hanging upside down teaching aerial arts in downtown Hood River.

We’re lucky to have her on our team 💙
