There’s something about this time of year in the Gorge- Saturday mornings start to feel a little more alive 🌿

Local markets are slowly making their return, bringing fresh produce, handmade goods, and that easy sense of community we all look forward to. It’s the season of wandering with a coffee in hand, running into familiar faces, and taking your time.

Whether you’re picking up flowers, local honey, or just enjoying the slower pace, weekends in the Gorge are about to get really good again.

The Hood River Farmers Market regular season runs Saturdays from 9am–1pm, starting the first week in May through the third week in November, located just around the corner from us in the 5th & Columbia Street parking lot (across from Full Sail Brewing).

What’s your go-to market find?

Leslie brings warmth and care to every session, and when she’s not at the office, she’s embracing life in Tygh Valley, Oregon. She shares her home with her husband, their kids, horses, and dog Stella. Leslie loves riding her 4-wheeler around their property, exploring the Columbia River Gorge, cozying up by little bonfires, and enjoying a good book whenever she can.

Leslie’s adventurous spirit and grounded energy make each session feel both relaxing and rejuvenating.

Raelynn and her husband have built a sustainable, off-grid homestead in Snowden, Washington, guided by permaculture principles, a practice she’s deeply passionate about. For Raelynn, permaculture isn’t just about growing food; it’s a way of living in harmony with nature and designing regenerative, balanced, and sustainable systems. They share their home with their dog, Willow, and in her free time, she loves foraging for mushrooms, hiking, and exploring new places along the Oregon Coast and beyond.

Raelynn’s commitment to mindful, nature-centered living flows into every massage session, helping clients feel grounded, restored, and nurtured.

“Deep tissue” doesn’t always mean deep pressure, and understanding the difference can help you book a session that truly fits your needs. Deep tissue is a modality that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue.

Pressure, on the other hand, is about how the work feels to you, and that can vary from therapist to therapist. Some LMTs use moderate pressure, which still effectively targets deep muscle layers, while others naturally apply deeper, more intense pressure.

If you’re looking for a specific pressure level, the best place to start is by reading our LMT bios. Each therapist shares their approach, style, and typical pressure range so you can find the perfect fit. You’re also welcome to call us anytime for recommendations and guidance. We are happy to help you choose the right session for your needs.

You can view therapist bios on our online booking site by clicking on the provider’s name before scheduling.

Making time for a massage isn’t just about relaxation - it’s about giving your body a chance to reset and recover. Whether you’ve been on the trails, at your desk, or somewhere in between, a session can help you feel more like yourself again.

If it’s been a while, this might be your sign to get something on the calendar. 🌿

Catherine, our Operations Manager, loves calling the Columbia River Gorge home. When she’s not keeping the office running smoothly, she’s out enjoying all the Gorge has to offer - SUP boarding, hiking to waterfalls, capturing nature photography, or running. She’s also the co-founder of Catscade Locks Feline Rescue, spending much of her free time rescuing and rehabilitating feral cats. At home, she decompresses with her husband (and of course their cats) and enjoys painting, gardening, making herbal remedies, and baking.
