Your first birth isn’t a trial run. You don’t need to give birth in the hospital just because it’s your first baby. Your first birth matters just as much as any following births. Stop doubting yourself and your body; allow yourself to have the birth you deserve, especially as a first-time mom.

Pain with childbirth is inevitable, but numbing it and running from it isn’t necessary. Melting into your contractions and surrendering to your body is the best way to get through and come out the other side with your baby in your arms.

Your baby doesn't want a swing, a crib, or any other container you put them in; they just want to be in your arms.

This doesn't mean something is wrong with your baby, it means their survival instincts are strong.

Hold your babies because you are everything they need.

If you wanted to run a marathon, you wouldn’t ask for advice from someone that runs 5ks, you’d ask a marathon runner.

Seek guidance from other mothers that have been in your shoes before, they’ve been through the hardest parts of breastfeeding and kept going. They understand you and they want you to succeed just as much as you want to.
