Stay away from GMO popsicles, make your own homemade Creamsicles!

TrimShake Creamy popsicles are a delicious and healthy way to cool off in the warm weather. Loved by adults and kids alike, these creamsicles are full of protein and add a nutritious punch to your sweet tooth. Don't worry though–nobody will ever know they are actually healthy!

Health Highlights:

It turns out, a few ingredients in these yummy creamsicles hold some health benefits that you might not know about. Here’s a look at just a few health highlights.

Coconut milk: Coconut contains the fatty acid, lauric acid. The body converts lauric acid into a compound called monolaurin, an antiviral and antibacterial. For this reason, many believe that the consumption of coconut milk can protect the body from infections and viruses.

Vanilla: A 2013 study found that vanillin (found in vanilla extract) may have cholesterol-lowering benefits.

Honey: Antioxidants called flavonoids are found in honey and can help reduce the risk of some cancers and heart disease.



Ingredients:
1 14-ounce can coconut milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons baking cocoa
3 scoops doTERRA TrimShake (chocolate, orange cream, vanilla)
3 drops stevia

Directions:

In large bowl, combine all ingredients. Beat until smooth. Pour in popsicle molds and insert popsicle sticks in middle. Place in freezer overnight.

Other ideas: mix it up a little by adding your favorite fruit. Add any of these for your personal touch, just blend and add; be it bananas, strawberries, mixed berries, pineapple, mangos, kiwi, peaches and more!

Tired of those pesky bugs and don't want to use products that contain deet in them? Try some homemade bug repellent!

Homemade Bug Repellent

Spray bottle
8 oz distilled water
Pinch of Epsom salts
8 drops peppermint essential oil
8 drops TerraShield essential oil

Pour the distilled water into a 2-cup measuring cup. Add a pinch of Epsom salts. Add the oils and stir. Use a funnel and pour the mixture to the spray bottle.

Before you use the bug repellent be sure to shake the bottle to make sure the oils are suspended in the water as much as possible before each use.

Spray skin and clothes generously and be sure to have the kids close their eyes while you spray their necks and arms.

Notes: The Epsom salts help suspend the oils in the water. Peppermint essential oil is just that – peppermint. TerraShield is an all-natural formula of citronella, cedarwood, and a blend of 11 other oils. A primary function of essential oils in plants is protecting against insects and other predators. Unlike other products that contain synthetic and toxic chemicals, TerraShield is a natural approach to managing exposure to biting insects. Also… if this bug repellent isn't effective, add more essential oils. Everyone’s body chemistry is different so the proportions that work for us, may not work for you.

Don't mind my daughters dirty toes, but as you can see where the peeled skin is, THAT is how big her wart was! Yes, it's true! Well, we have Oregano to thank for this!

1) Put a good carrier oil on the skin around the wart (the part I didn't want it to affect) to protect the skin, since Oregano is a **HOT** oil.

2) I would then take a little piece of cotton (the same size of the wart), stick it to a piece of that thicker, white medical tape and add enough Oregano oil to saturate the cotton ball enough. Then stick the cotton ball portion right over that big ugly wart and press the tape on her toe. Then of course wrap it with a little more tape.
3) I would do this application shortly after her bath time/bedtime and have her take it off the next evening to ensure it has soaked into that bu**er! Basically tried to have her keep it on for 15-24 hours.

After the second treatment, the wart was partially hanging off. We ended up gently pulling out what was loose and a big chunk came out (looked like roots from underneath). She felt HUGE relief the next morning. We then waited about a week before the next application to allow it to heal a little more and repeated what we did.

It gradually would have more and more layers just peel right off. The last application was about 2 weeks ago and yesterday she saw that it was peeling again and that showed us the success that it was gone! Fresh skin underneath!

She hated how it looked, but wanted to get it to go away. She couldn't even clip her toenail because it hurt so bad and was right under that nail. It got to about a good 1/4" long!

Summertime is here, which means kids are skinning knees, elbows and more. Not to mention we're all out in the sun more, so sunburns tend to come with it.

Aloe Vera ice cubes are great for cuts & burns.

Simply Freeze them into ice cubes for when you need them. Perfect for summertime to throw into your smoothies for a healthy kick, have them on hand ready to help relieve those owies our kids tend to get, sunburns and more. Get these ready ahead of time.

Use these with some lavender and peppermint to help soothe those sunburns even more. Just thaw a cube and mix it up with about 5 drops of each oil and apply to the sunburn for a soothing effect. Lavender to help heal and comfort and peppermint to help cool it off.

Aloe is such a wonderful plant to have in the home, I have a couple of aloe plants, and I rely on them a lot in the summertime quite a bit.

Aloe also is amazingly good for you!
