This crazy Illinois weather has once again caused havoc with our phone lines. We are currently without phones here at the facility.

Have you been doing some spring cleaning and you don't really know what to do with some of the stuff? Our Bingo prize store shelves are getting empty. Our residents love knick knacks, seasonal decor, and photo frames. If you have any of these items that you would like to donate we would love to take them. Feel free to drop things off at the nursing home and we will put them to good use. If you have any questions, call and talk to Sierra, our activity director.

The luck of the Irish was strong today. We had reubens and steak fries for lunch and participated in a pub crawl this afternoon visiting "pubs" from around the world.

As we get ready for St Patrick's day next week, today we held our lucky leprechaun hunt and searched for fun items all over the building. Unfortunately we didn't find a big pot of gold, but still had a lot of fun!

The day was good. The day was fun. Tomorrow is another one. - Dr. Suess. We're celebrating Dr. Suess today with minute-to-win-it games and talking about favorite books.

We were having a ball at Mardi Gras today. We made our own beads, decorated floats, had a parade, collected beans, listened to great music, and ate jambalaya and red beans and rice. Fun way to spend a Tuesday!

Finishing up our weekend of love we want to extend a big thank you to our activity staff for a fun Valentine's Day party and to the Barbara Standish DAR chapter for the delicious cookies.

Sierra, our Activity Director, threw a gender reveal for one of our activity staff. The residents got to choose what they thought the baby would be. Congratulations to Kaeli and Chase on their baby girl!
