✨ Honoring Excellence in Dermatology ✨
Becoming a board-certified dermatologist like Dr. Elizabeth Martin is no small feat—it’s a journey that requires years of dedication, sacrifice, and resilience.
After earning a bachelor’s degree, future dermatologists complete 4 years of medical school, followed by a highly competitive dermatology residency (typically 4 additional years). That’s over a decade of rigorous education and training.
But the numbers only tell part of the story. The path demands:
• Countless hours of studying and exams
• Long clinical days and sleepless nights
• Emotional strength to care for patients through complex and sometimes life-altering conditions
• Mental endurance to master one of the most detailed and visually diagnostic specialties in medicine
Dermatology is far more than “skin deep.” It requires expertise in diagnosing thousands of conditions, identifying skin cancers early, managing chronic diseases, and helping patients feel confident in their own skin.
And because of the precision, knowledge, and skill required, dermatology remains one of the most competitive specialties in medicine to match into.
We are incredibly proud to have Dr. Martin leading and caring for our patients with such expertise, compassion, and excellence every single day. We also want to recognize her family - who has been there every step of the way! 💙
