What I’m Reading Between Clients
As a therapist who serves women, I believe it’s my responsibility to understand not just your muscles, but your life, your mood shifts, and everything happening beneath the surface.
Right now, I’m reading Women’s Moods: What Every Woman Must Know About Hormones, the Brain, and Emotional Health, and whew… this book is truly opening doors.
One thing that stood out:
So many women’s mental and emotional concerns get brushed off as “stress,” when in reality, hormonal shifts during our reproductive years play a huge role in mood, energy, and emotional regulation.
What I love most is the nurse guided self care program inside a holistic roadmap that helps women understand what’s happening in their bodies, how to track their emotional patterns, and how to advocate for themselves when something feels “off.”
And as someone who supports women , this matters deeply to me. Mental wellness, emotional wellness, physical wellness ,they connect. They overlap. They speak to each other.
It’s one of the reasons I show up in my practice the way I do:
• providing a safe space,
• listening without judgment,
• and creating sessions that honor the whole woman, not just the tension in her shoulders.
Women deserve to know what’s happening in their bodies.
Women deserve to be heard.
Women deserve care ,inside and out.
