We would like to give a warm welcome to the newest addition to the ACA Counseling team, Margaret! Congratulations and we have so happy you are apart of the family!
Margaret Boggan, ALC, is dedicated to supporting children as they grow, heal, and thrive. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Mississippi State University and went on to complete a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
During her graduate studies, she specialized in child-centered play therapy approach for children ages 3-8. She creates a safe, nurturing environment where young clients can express themselves freely and build the skills they need to face life’s challenges.
She has experience working with children and adolescents dealing with physical and sexual abuse, grief and loss, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), Autism, conduct disorder (CD), and school refusal. Her trauma-informed approach with teens also incorporates techniques from CBT & DBT.
