Today we honor Juneteenth—the day that marked the end of slavery in the United States, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
It’s a reminder that freedom has never been equally granted, but must be continually fought for and protected.
At Iron City Counseling, we believe healing is not just individual—it’s collective. We recognize the intergenerational trauma caused by systemic racism and the ongoing need for mental health spaces that are safe, affirming, and accessible for Black communities.
To our Black clients, colleagues, and community: we see you, we honor you, and we remain committed to holding space where you can rest, resist, and heal.
📚 Not sure what Juneteenth is really about? Now is a great time to pause and learn.
