We are excited to announce that Alyssa Brown will be joining the Ember team in December! Alyssa comes to us with years of experience in the eating disorder field. She is also trained in EMDR and uses other evidence-based approaches, such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and existential therapy.

Alyssa is an LGBTQIA+ affirming and body positive therapist. She is also in network with BCBS.

We’re excited to announce our Autistic Identities Support Group. This is a supportive space for exploration, connection, and empowerment, led by LICSW Stephanie Schell.

This group is open to autistic adults of all genders, and is self-identification affirming (no formal diagnosis required). It's a place to connect with others, explore your identity, and feel seen and supported in community.

We are so excited to announce that Stephanie Schell, LICSW, is joining the Ember Team! Stephanie specializes in supporting folx with ADHD, Autism, AuDHD, and eating disorders. She is an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist with training in EMDR and other evidence-based approaches, such as CBT, DBT, and ACT. She is also in the process of being paneled with BCBS.

Allison Burnett is a Certified Transgender Care Therapist and Certified LGBT+ Affirmative Psychotherapy Provider at Ember Embodied Wellness in Hoover, AL. She works with adults, ages 19+, working to provide a space where clients can feel safe, seen, and supported.

We are so excited to welcome Luke Herald, ALC to the Ember team. He specializes in trauma, anxiety, depression, and identity exploration. He is a neuroaffirming and q***r/trans affirming clinician. He is taking new clients starting in August; inquiries can be sent to info@emberembodied.com.

Luke is a therapist at Ember Embodied Wellness in Hoover, AL who specializes in the treatment of individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, and identity exploration. He is trained in Trauma-Focused CBT and is an affirming therapist for the LGBTQIA+ and nurodivergent community.
