NATIONAL “WRITE YOUR STORY” DAY
You may think to yourself, "There's nothing in my life to tell." It will surprise you once you put pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard and the words start filling the pages. Words have a way of triggering memories. They form a moment in time, and before you know it, there's a story flowing from your fingertips. Even if you never share your tale, it can be an essence of who you are and where you've been.

Trips down memory lane or recreating the moment when a spark of inspiration occurred, are more intriguing than you know. Today, they fill blogs, inspire novels and entire television series. More importantly, they are treasures to family and loved ones. The observance encourages us to start telling our personal stories today. There's a story worth recounting in there somewhere!

Another advantage to writing down your life story, is that it can be a big help when pre-planning your final arrangements. Your own personal story, written in your own words, could be a beautiful element of your own Celebration of Life.

As promised!! These are the pop bottle people the 4th graders at one of our local schools are making. The children were tasked with writing a book report on a famous person. Then they had to make their person using a soda bottle and art supplies. Lillian and Nicole went to the school and helped with putting them together with the supplies Reeves FH donated to them. They were so excited and did a really great job!

Jory saves the day! A car caught on fire in front of the funeral home. With quick thinking and preparedness, Jory grab the fire extinguisher he keeps under his desk and ran out the door. He was able to extinguish the fire and prevent injury and any further destruction. Way to go Jory!!!
