Southwest Arkansas Regional Medical Center recently achieved an incredible 27-minute door-to-needle time during an acute stroke response, well below the national guideline of 60 minutes.

This rapid response was made possible through strong coordination between Pafford EMS, the SWARMC Emergency Department, Radiology, Laboratory, Registration, and the UAMS Institute for Digital Health and Innovation Stroke Program.

Special recognition was also given to Bailey,RN, who was named a UAMS Stroke Champion Gold Club member for her leadership in the response.

Moments like this show what teamwork, preparation, and partnership can accomplish when every minute matters.
