Today we are proud to spotlight Sarai Reed, Funeral Director, Embalmer, and Pre-Arrangement Agent at Brazzel Funeral Homes.

A graduate of the University of Arkansas Hope–Texarkana, Sarai earned her Associate of Applied Science in Funeral Service and has dedicated 7 years to serving families with compassion and care. Being able to serve in the same community she grew up in makes her work even more meaningful.

Sarai is a loving mother to two beautiful little girls and a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Spring Hill. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and supporting her oldest daughter in cattle shows; making memories that mean the most.

With a heart for service, Sarai is passionate about helping families navigate life’s most difficult moments with grace, kindness, and understanding. As a Pre-Arrangement Agent, she also takes pride in helping families plan ahead, offering peace of mind for the future. Today, we celebrate the heart behind the scenes at Brazzel Funeral Homes—our incredible Administrative Assistant, LaJuanna Ray.

With a kind and reassuring voice, LaJuanna is often the first point of contact for families. From answering calls to assisting with arrangements and ensuring every detail is handled with care, she helps guide families through some of life’s most difficult moments with patience, grace, and compassion.

A graduate of Hope High School, Class of 1971, LaJuanna has deep roots in the community she so faithfully serves. She is also a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Spring Hill, where her faith shines through in the way she cares for others.

Her welcoming spirit, attention to detail, and genuine kindness create a comforting environment for every family who walks through our doors. While much of her work happens behind the scenes, the impact she makes is truly immeasurable.

🌟 Employee Spotlight 🌟

Today we are honored to spotlight Ben L. Brazzel, Owner and Funeral Director of Brazzel Funeral Homes.

A proud graduate of Hope High School, Ben continued his education at the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, earning his degree in Mortuary Science. With 35 years of experience, he has dedicated his life to serving families with compassion, integrity, and professionalism.

Ben is an active member of Garrett Memorial Baptist Church and a strong supporter of his community. He has served on the Arkansas Burial Association Board as well as the Arkansas State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors, helping guide and uphold the standards of funeral service across the state. He also proudly supports local high schools and community organizations, always giving back to the place he calls home.

Outside of his work, Ben is a devoted husband to his wife, Tiffany, and a proud father to his daughter, Ellie Ruth. He’s also a proud Arkansas Razorbacks fan, always cheering on the Hogs!

Today we are proud to highlight Scott Brown, Funeral Director and General Manager at Brazzel Funeral Homes.

With 30 years of experience, Scott brings a steady hand, compassionate heart, and deep commitment to every family he serves. His dedication to guiding families through their most difficult times is what truly sets him apart.

Outside of the funeral home, Scott is a proud father of four who enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active with sports. His faith is an important part of his life, and he attends Hope First Assembly Church, where he continues to serve and grow within his community.

Scott’s leadership, experience, and genuine care make a lasting impact on both the families he serves and the team he leads. We are grateful to have him as part of the Brazzel family.
