Crossroads Clubhouse Our recovery oriented programs help individuals gain self-confidence, build employment skills, and foster relationships.

Crossroads Clubhouse is housed in a turn of the century colonial mansion in Hopedale. It is a warm, inviting environment where we offer adults with a history of mental illness a community that is built on peer support and rehabilitation. Clubhouse members and staff work together in all elements of clubhouse operations. Our “work-ordered day” is the backbone of our program and offers members the op

portunity to engage in the community and build skills such as banking and budgeting skills, food service, newsletter production, and landscaping, while working alongside staff and other members to contribute to the overall goals of Crossroads. We also offer employment and housing support, dual recovery meetings, health & wellness programs, and social events.

🌸🌷Embrace the blooming possibilities of May at Crossroads Clubhouse! 🌷🌸

This month's calendar features Career development days on Tuesdays, socials every Thursday and Saturday, and DRA meetings every Monday and Thursday from 12:45pm to 1:30pm (inquire about our additional virtual meeting times)!

🌟Highlights🌟

Our yearly NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) walk will be on Saturday, May 16th! Come join us to promote Mental Health for All!

We also have our Memorial Day Holiday Social on May 25th, and we will be venturing to Borderlands National Park! Hope to see you there!

This weekend, we were a part of a Celebration of Life for our friend June. June sadly passed earlier this spring after a courageous battle with cancer. It was a lovely day where people who loved June came together to celebrate her life and memory. June has been a member of Crossroads Clubhouse for many years and was loved by all. She had a bubbly personality and always had a smile on her face.

We came together to remember her and show her family and friends how much June was loved and supported. She will always be in our hearts. It shows what a strong community can do when it comes together. 💗

May we remember June and the beautiful person that she was. 🔆💐

We attended the State House on Wednesday, April 22nd, for the Massachusetts Clubhouse Coalition's Annual Employment Celebration.

District Director for Senator Rebecca Rausch, Aidan Doherty, presented the citation and plaque to member Jim P, who represented Crossroads' selected employer of the year: Marshalls in Franklin.

We ran into other familiar faces there as well: Julie S, David W, and Jason R, who were there achieving their own employment goals. Overall, this was an empowering event with 29 Clubhouses from across Massachusetts attending, fostering a strong sense of community and support.

Way to go Crossroads!

Saturday, April 11th, we took a nice trip to Worcester to visit the Ecotarium!

The price of the tickets is $35, but with EBT, WIC, and SNAP, it's $5 for up to 4 people!

We spoke to a few members who went to that social. Courtney H., said that with the EBT discount, it was very different and a lot cheaper than before. She went to see the African Animal Exhibit, and she saw a giant snapping turtle.

Another member, Steph F., said the EBT discount was amazing and very helpful because of the lower cost. She would've loved to go back and feed the otters. If she could work in one of the exhibits, it would have to be with animals because she absolutely loves animals.

All in all, everyone who went had fun, and it is definitely an experience to have. So, get out and explore the Ecotarium in Worcester!

🌟OUR WHITEBOARD HAS BEEN REJUVINATED!🌟

Once it was our Unit Board and now it has been turned into a first floor Employment Board. We have a replica on our second floor unit and wanted to feature it more openly! This board will showcase all of our employment programs.

We want to acknowledge and congratulate Frankie on hitting the halfway mark with his TE at Riverside's ACCS Office. He has janitorial duties that include vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, and offices, among many other responsibilities.

He's been doing great, working hard, and growing over the last 4.5 months! We are very proud of his progress and can't wait to continue to watch him accomplish great things!

We have socials (Thursdays and Saturdays), DRA, and even Career Development to name a few of the fun and exciting things we have going on this month!

Patriot's Day is Monday April 20th! We will be going out to Saver's and having food for our Holiday social!

The NAMI walk is coming up again!

NAMI is the National Alliance of Mental Illness, and the NAMI Walk is a celebration of individuals, families, and communities coming together for one powerful purpose: Mental Health for All.

We absolutely love attending this event, visiting Boston, and seeing everyone. It's such a wonderful experience, and we can't wait for this year!

We currently have a sign-up here at Crossroads for members who want to represent Crossroads with a t-shirt on their walks. You can sign up for a T-Shirt and to be registered for the walk until April 10th.

Sign-ups overall are available until 12PM on Friday May 15th.

We've been working very diligently on our Employment board. There are a range of jobs from retail to clerical to animal care, so there's something for everyone!

We consistently update this board weekly, replacing expired jobs with new ones, researching new jobs and always providing great opportunities for our membership.
