Muddy Rose Pottery provides the means for experiencing a stress free, therapeutic journey in clay. Creating a masterpiece on the pottery wheel using one's unique inner vision, equipped with a toolset of hands and fingers, leaves the artist with a sense of pride and gratification. While we welcome all families, groups and organizations, we are dedicated to Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilites such as autism. Working in clay promotes communication and socialization and is a calm, soothing approach in providing sensory stimulation. Clay building encourages hand/eye coordination, develops fine motor skills, and encompasses all five senses. Here at Muddy Rose Pottery, we prove that "mud is not just for making beautiful pottery." In our world that at times feels heavy and uncertain, we need to slow down and step away… find our calm…and the quiet joy of creating together!

🌹”With These Hands” is a one-day clay retreat where our hands shape the clay, our hearts are given space to breathe, pray, and reconnect.

🌹Clay has a way of teaching us patience.
It humbles us.
It starts conversations.
And it brings people together.

🌹Many who would benefit from this day of renewal have shared that the cost is difficult at this time, I understand, and I truly wish I were in a position to offer this freely, perhaps someday !🙏l’m praying that our new “With These Hands” retreats will be on-going, meaningful and attainable for everyone to experience!!
🌹Because of this possible financial strain for some, we are inviting members of our community to help “sponsor a seat at the clay-table” where your generosity will provide someone a chance to spend positive time at MRP that they may so need ❤️
