As Black History Month comes to a close, we pause to honor the legacy, resilience, and courage of those who paved the way for equity, access, and opportunity. Their sacrifices and achievements continue to inspire the work we do every day.
I am Me Services is proud to be a Black-owned, community-based organization guided by the leadership of Executive Director Dr. Andrea Banks. Our mission is rooted in advocacy, empowerment, and inclusion. We remain committed to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through person-centered, trauma-informed care that promotes dignity, independence, and meaningful community engagement.
As we step into Women’s History Month, we celebrate the impact of Black women in leadership, healthcare, disability advocacy, and community change. Their strength, vision, and dedication continue to shape stronger and more inclusive communities. Representation matters. Leadership matters. Community matters.
This work does not end with a month. It is a lifelong commitment to equity, empowerment, and creating opportunities for those we serve. We honor the past, lead in the present, and continue building a future where every individual is valued, respected, and supported to thrive.
Thank you to our families, staff, and community partners for being part of this journey.
