Every person and every low back is different, so every treatment should be unique, right? Yes and no.
If you are giving the same exercises to everyone without assessing the situation, that’s a problem.
However, a lot of people are face the same stresses and have many of the same limitations. So while not everyone should get the exact same exercises, it is ok to use the same exercises for a lot people.
I find this to be especially true for my early rehab patients, where the first thing I try to go is get more motion in the low back and hips. These three exercises is use a lot take the joints through THE ENTIRE range of motion (within the given plane), so whether you lack flexion or extension, it doesn’t matter because the Cat Cow will take you through both of them.
Some people will get more or less benefit from different parts of the exercise, so you don’t need 10 different mobiltu drills, 1-3 is enough. Any more than that the moves get to complex and more for show and novelty than actual adaptation.
Anyways, here are my three exercises Inhavw found to be very helpful for many people with low back issues. I usually start people at 3 sets of 8 reps with all of them.
